The Rubin Center is proud to present the 2019 Annual Juried UTEP Student Art Exhibition, showcasing works of art and design created by undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Art during the 2018 – 2019 academic year. All media taught in the department is represented, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, metals and graphic design. At the end of each academic year, the Rubin Center invites nationally and internationally recognized professionals in the fields of graphic design and fine arts to come to campus and jury recent work completed by UTEP students in the Department of Art. It is a highly competitive process and the juror’s selection is then exhibited in the Rubin and L Galleries throughout the summer, becoming the basis for our summer education and outreach.
This year we are happy to welcome Joe Scorsone and Alice Drueding, Professors Emeritus of the Tyler School of Art at Temple University as our Graphic Design Jurors, and Mackenzie Stevens, newly appointed director of the Visual Arts Center at The University of Texas at Austin as our Fine Arts Juror.
Exhibition from Friday, May 10 – Friday, August 9, 2019
